As the founder of G3 INSTITUTE I am happy to launch this new way to network, collaborate and find peer support. I believe all my past experiences have brought me to this point to help others, I wanted to give back. I had to do most of what I have done in business alone, I wasted time, money and energy,.. I built businesses and spent years doing things on my own. I did not have the resources or connections to fill my circle with all the help I could have used. As thrilling as it was having my own business, I wished I had a group of peers too help me at every part of the journey, at every challenge I did not know how to cross. Thats why I developed G3 INSTITUTE,..

Here is just a little about me.

I have over 30 years of franchising experience and 45 years of manufacturing, advertising, marketing, product design, sales and business experience.

Music & Entertainment industry - Sales and Manufacturing

In the 80’s I worked as a manufacturers rep in consumer electronics and the pro sound markets. I also helped many musicians in the music scene in Minneapolis Mn. I realized as a musician I was surrounded by the best, Bonnie Raitt, Prince, even the punk bands like the Replacements could play better than I. Realizing I could never be good as my friends, I focused on my strengths helping others be better. I migrated into talent development helping musicians with their stage presence as well as engineering at local recording studios. I would revisit the music industry as a manufacturer with a product that helped drummers and bassists performing better using the same revolutionary product I sold to the warfare industry!

I designed a device that has been used in the warfare industry, Disney and Universal parks, the Cirque du Soleil O” show in Las Vegas as well as some of the most talented musicians in the world used the device. This helped the musicain perform better.

I had many struggles as a manufacturer. We were building the devices slowly in Colorado and after much deliberation and consulting with my friend who owns Stillwater Designs (a consumer electronics company). he introduced me to his factories in China and guided me to what to do and what to not do when working with the Chinese. I took my product to China to increase production and lower costs. I was able to cut costs to a fraction of what it was costing me in Colorado. I was also able to increase quality, dependability and enhance it cosmetically. With the new improvements I was able to go from selling ten a month to thousands. We sold internationally as I set up a distribution network globally.

Franchising - Developing brands and sales

I began building franchises with International Franchise Solutions. Worked with business owners that wanted to expand using the franchise model and developed their business into a franchise. I acquired an extensive background in franchise sales working with many brokers and brands. I am well versed in conversion franchises as well as full business franchise development and falling through into franchise sales.

I have been involved in the franchise business development in food and beverage (Daz Bog Coffee, Solar Roast, Waffle Brothers, Bull Chicks, Zoyo Frozen Yogurt, BGR Burger, Eggfast, Renzios), personal care (Massage Envy, Prolean Wellness) and service franchises (Keyrenter Property Management, Mr. Rooter, ASP Pools, Mosquito Squad) Retail (Kazoo Toys) Health (Mobility Plus) and many others. In franchising the biggest benefit is the peer support after the initial training. Franchisees will all tell you after the initial launch of their franchise the real value is in their peer network. "In franchising thats what you pay for, a group of people to help you in your business".

Mentoring and Training

I am proud to have been a part of Zig Ziglar’s Ziglar Performance Group. I am certified by Zig Ziglar for the Ziglar Sales System, Ziglar Strategies for Success and Ziglar Effective Presentation Skills. I have also also conducted hundreds of DISC trainings and evaluations. Thats how Zig got his start!

International Business Experience

I have extensive business experience in China and India, I have lived and done business in New Zealand, Peru and Malaysia. In Kuala Lumpur Malaysia I was introduced to the concept of “the Golden Circle” of business and with my Chinese partners I was thrust into the inner circle of business and politics there. In a very short period of time I had weekly meetings with top Datos (Senators appointed by the king) and access to the top politicians and business leaders in the the country and only one call away from the king of Malaysia. My partners and I were awarded a three million dollar grant to build an IT school on Penang island (next island away the first episodes of survivor were being filmed. My partner was the one who brokered the financial deal for Mark Burnett to start the survivor series production). None of this would be possible without being able to be in the "golden circle". I have taken the golden circle concept and have integrated that into the G3 INSTITUTE culture.

As a business owner I understand the intricacies of commitment and the work it involves as well as the value of having a group of peers. Every big and important step in my growth has been with someone there to help and guide me. I realized it is better to have people to help then to try to do things the hard way alone.

I have managed groups of two to over 250 people. I have presented to small groups as well as large audiences to 1500 people. The culmination of my past experiences have helped me become the productive award wining professional I am today.

My life experiences have helped him become an effective leader and better manager of myself and others as well as a trusted advisor. The culmination of over 55 years in business and all these experiences combined inspired me to develop the G3 INSTITUTE.

I look forward to helping others acquire their dreams and goals. My old boss and mentor Zig Ziglar had many quotable quotes but the one I catch myself repeating all the time is,..
